Good As Us Lyrics — Caitlyn Smith

Shared a cigarette from a balcony in Mexico
With the red sunset dripping down in the sea
I drank up all the wine that I could find in downtown Rome
I stumbled out feeling taller than the Sistine

Yeah, I've tried, tried, tried to find a similar high
But nothing ever touches it
No, nothing ever comes close

'Cause it ain't as good as us
As good as us
I looked so long for something real
No, nothing else can make me feel as good as us

When I'm in your eyes on a summer night, in the back porch glow
It's like everything else just disappears
And when we're tangled up and making love, with the lights down low
All I need is you right here

Yeah, I've tried, tried, tried to find a similar high
But nothing ever touches it
No, nothing ever comes close

'Cause it ain't as good as us
As good as us
I looked so long for something real
No, nothing else can make me feel as good as us

Yeah, I've tried to find a similar high
Oh, but nothing
No nothing, nothing, nothing

Is as good as us
As good as us
I looked so long for something real
No, nothing else can make me feel as good as
Good as us (Oh, oh, oh-oh)
Good as us (Good as us)
I looked so long for something real
No, nothing else can make me feel as good as us
As good as us, yeah
