Second Best Friend Lyrics — Origami Angel

[Verse]
I always was your Second Best Friend
I always wanted more than that
I'd write a hundred paragraphs
All just trying to make you laugh
But you were way too cool for me
My subtle mediocrity
Prevented me from being seen
As anything but option B

[Pre-Chorus]
Yeah, summer seemed cool when we were in high school
Trying to act like we were insightful
Staying up all night, now I wish I'd slept in
And maybe I'm wrong for not reminiscing
But it's been too f**king long to be missing
A time where I felt so stupid and out of touch

[Instrumental Break]

[Chorus]
I always was your Second Best Friend
I always wanted more than that
I always wantеd more

[Post-Chorus]
I always wanted more
I always wantеd more

[Outro]
I always was your Second Best Friend
(I always wanted more)
I always wanted more than that
(I always wanted more)
I always was your Second Best Friend
(I always wanted more)
I always wanted more than that
More than that
I always wanted more
