Paper Bird Lyrics — Seekers

I fold this paper bird
My love's in Sendai City
O spread your wings and fly
My heart is in Sendai

I stay for you; I pray for you
A teardrop dims my eye
I wait for you; my fate is you
And here's the reason why

My paper bird has wings
To fold my love so softly
As gentle as a sigh
My heart is in Sendai

So care for me; and spare for me
A loving thought tonight
Be true to me, and soon we'll be
Together by and by

O paper bird take flight
And fly to Sendai City
So lonely here am I
My heart is in Sendai
