The Anchor Lyrics — We Came As Romans

I'd drift to the bottom
If I wasn't already here
I'd beg you to follow
But I know ill just disappear
Slowly diving down
Memories start to drown
Nowhere to be found
I feel the anchor now

I try to fight but it seems so pointless
I feel the weight as I charge through darkness
Lost in my mind as I wander hopeless
(Pulling me down)

You can say it all fades away in time
But this grave is a ladder that I must climb
Since the day that you left
I can't seem to move on
All the weight that I felt
Will I sink 'til I'm gone?
The anchor

I'm trapped at the bottom
A lock around my feet
I search for the answers
(But I don't have the key)

I try to fight but it seems so pointless
I feel the weight as I charge through darkness
Lost in my mind as I wander hopeless
(Pulling me down)

You can say it all fades away in time
But this grave is a ladder that I must climb
Since the day that you left
I can't seem to move on
All the weight that I felt
Will I sink 'til I'm gone?
The anchor

Slowly diving down
Memories start to drown
Nowhere to be found
I feel the anchor now

You can say it all fades away in time
But this grave is a ladder that I must climb
Since the day that you left
I can't seem to move on
All the weight that I felt
Will I sink 'til I'm gone?
The anchor
