‘Fifty Shades Darker’ is a sequel of the ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ film that seems like now became a series, as there will be three of them at least! The third film is going to be released in a year after this part, namely 2018.
What we didn’t like from this soundtrack – Bom Bidi Bomm by Nicki Minaj with some other guy sounds as if it didn’t have the narration line in the lyrics and it is like two songs overlapped in one. Terrible. The second thing is the cover on Haddaway’s thing ‘What Is Love??’, now performed by a girl named Frances. This is smooth and soft, but could the invigorating original ever sound languid as this? We doubt that.
What we did like – ‘Cruise’ song by Kygo that has the double-meaning lyrics, as the cruise is not only a sea trip but also an exciting adventure in our life that may be called like this. ‘Helium’ is yet another fantastic thing by Sia, and this time it is much more adorable in the power and internal meaning than several previous songs by her that were much fader than ‘Chandelier’. ‘Lies in the Dark’ is also very vivid and luring, and we would love to listen to this song over and over. In fact, we’ve added several things from this collection to our favorites and we recommend you to do this with another fine thing: ‘The Scientist’ by Corinne Baily Rae. Maybe this name is not that famous yet, as Taylor Swift (she does a cooperation with Zayn Malik here), but Mrs. Rae does very decent music and we always loved violins, by the way, that she extensively uses in a song.
As for a film, this adventure drama is for lovers of the first part and for the readers of the novel. The film number one collected over USD 0.57 billion but the second part will definitely not be that outstanding. How do we know that? Call it a hunch.
