Many years later, Jennifer Lopez did basically the same in one of her movies – when she depicted a poor dancer striving for popularity and recognition. The affection with dances – is the main idea of this film, showing that many-many practice and striving to your goal will, most likely, lead you to success. Or to a happy marriage, as in this movie. And the third thing, which you won’t see in the trailer – is a fantastically fascinating scene, where a huge amount of water spills on the sitting girl on a chair in the spotlight on the scene. This was so exciting that many other divas and plain singers since that time used this trick to reveal their hot bodies to public.
Donna Summer wrote her Romeo, in quite provocative manner, though it greatly refers to video, not to its lyrics. On the contrary, Laura Branigan has nothing outstanding in her ‘Imagination’.
No wonder that with these pre-requisites, this motion picture was able to collect fantastic USD 202 million, versus the budget of just USD 7 million. Nice Return On Investment ratio – 2885%, huh?
