This is a film containing several stories in one narrative line. First and the greatest, like the name of the movie, is a story about adolescent, who has extremely extra weight, but still not abandoning his biggest aspiration – to play American football. No one believes in him and the second line arouses, making his family, including very loving and caring dad, to worry of his state of health, when the boy’s health drops at the certain moment. Then, they face with the death of their granny, whom they all loved. And eventually, of course, this youngster becomes the greater hit of all times amongst the players of college American football, turning a leader of the team from the outcast, who was previously fired from the participation in the games. He proved a person could do anything if he aspires to this more than anything.
In this extremely motivating film, there is no less motivating soundtrack. Duran Duran are its headliners, presenting their hit of all times Come Undone. There are a few interesting things, distinguishing this soundtrack from the 99% of others: it has 2 motivational chanting songs, Rocky Top and University Of Arkansas Fight Song. They are performed in a movie by cheerleaders of two different educational facilities.
Those who think as the whole idea is plastered in motivational struggle are right. Nothing much more to enrich the film is contained, but only to hue it with various gloomy emotions. That’s why band Bush sings something odd if listening to the entire music collection – their style stands out vividly and loud, as well as their lyrics aren’t in line with the film. The best lyrics, as for us, contains song by Conway Twitty. He is a master of word positioning, giving the bright picture and clear narration.
