Chloë Grace Moretz, who at her 18 has phenomenal acting talent and shot in such hit movies like Carrie, If I Stay or Dark Shadows with Johnny Depp, now is starred at this, The 5th Wave. From where she has a time to do everything? Appears in films, television series, sings & works as the model… Versatile person. And very talented, as evidenced by the box office – for the premiere week, the film grossed USD 38 million, fully recouped its production costs in the amount of exactly USD 38 M.
Music producers allowed us to enjoy the lyrics of songs of such singers as Sia and Coldplay, among others, no less outstanding ones. All songs are emotional, except for quiet Don't Panic, which, as calls with its own pace to do what it is said in its name – to remain calm. The film is based on the successful novel of Rick Yancey that he wrote a couple of years before the filming started.
Time Of Our Lives – interesting melody that has an interesting story & lyrics, but they may be amenable to the same criticism as the plot of the film – it has mixed reviews, from a complete delight to caustic negatives. By the way, the younger critic is, the more (s)he speaks enthusiastically about the film. However, the financial success is already guaranteed. By the way, this film is remarkable that Tobey Maguire is its producer, showing the first steps in this field (the fellow who played Spider Man).
Pay No Mind – very youth song that is fully consistent with the mood of the film. Its performers have all chances to become the future icons of glam pop or rock, but so far, they are lovely novices making a good melody in the futuristic style. Quite a good choice for a movie about clumsy and senseless alien invasion and surviving of the protagonists in the upcoming chaos.
