St. Thomas — Sonny Rollins Lyrics
Soundtrack: Going in Style
St. Thomas Song Lyrics
Embrace me, my sweet embraceable you!
Embrace me, you irreplaceable you!
Just one look at you
My heart grew tipsy in me,
You and you alone
Bring out the gypsy in me!
I love all, the many charms about you!
Above all, I want my arms about you!
Don't be a naughty baby,
Come to papa, come to papa, do!
My sweet embraceable you!

We will remember the word ‘embraceable’ from this sweet jazz & will use it towards our girlfriends. It is light and airy. No need to classify it somehow further. Sonny Rollins is a great saxophonist and he may be the only undead person amongst this collection. A long play song tells about a low-graded but completely comprehensive sensation like the desire to embrace a person whom you love and to get a drink of music or anything else. The woman he loves is irreplaceable and so adorning it is hard to tell will he be happy without her. It is the jazz ode to his fiancé, somehow we think so.
