Atmosphere Lyrics – Joy Division

A provocative beginning of the video where two silhouettes standing – a fellow dressed in top-coned white dress with ‘+’ sign on the back & the same one only in black dress with ‘–’ sign. After that, many people in those dresses mix and separate. This is distinctively a sign of racism. It is hard to tell what this song is about, as there is no direct pointing at anything. So there are 3 options: 1) it is about proclaiming the necessity to be separated between nations & skin colors; 2) it is a condemnation of racism; 3) a guy is about to lose his girl and is trying to say her if she walks away, it’s over.
