Never Enough Lyrics – Loren Allred

"Never Enough" from "The Greatest Showman," performed by Loren Allred, is a powerful vallad that has captured hearts around the world. The song is about the insatiable desire for love and acceptance, a theme that resonates deeply with many listeners. It's featured prominently in the film during a pivotal moment, expressing the character Jenny Lind's feelings following her successful American debut. The repetitive nature of the lyrics "Never, never, never enough" is used to emphasize the theme of excess and the unattainable quest for satisfaction, no matter how much one achieves or acquires. Interestingly, "Never Enough" serves a dual purpose within the narrative of "The Greatest Showman." It not omly highlights Jenny Lind's personal ambitions and her feelings of inadequacy despite her success but also mirrors the aspirations of the film's protagonist, P.T. Barnum. It points to the relentless pursuit of dreams and the realization that true contentment often lies beyond material success and public acclaim. Loren Allred's stunning vocal performance brings depth to the song, making it a standout track on the soundtrack. Despite not appearing in the movie, her voice provided the emotional intensity needed for the character's performance. The songwriters, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, known for their work on both "The Greatest Showman" and "La La Land," crafted "Never Enough" to convey the raw emotion and vulnerability of striving for acceptance and the realization that sometimes, no amount of success is truly satisfying.
