Now Lyrics – Ari Hest

Now Text

---

I was sure
That you were what I’d waited for
you were the ultimate goal
I wouldn’t be hungry anymore
Had a toast
With everyone to recognize
Just how far I had come
That’s why it’s such a surprise

I wake up restless in the night
Can’t fall back asleep
Something isn’t right
And then it hits
How would I know if this was it?
How would I know for sure
What’s been for sure in my world?

Caught a show
Down at the Rockwood last night
Came away humming a tune
Sat down at home, began to write

And like a habit
I never was able to kick
You put me in a trance
Everything suddenly clicked

I’m with you for better or for worse
Don’t know if you’re a gift
Or if you’re a curse

After all
How would I know if this was it?
How would I know for sure?
What’s been for sure in my world?

(Could’ve been everything)
Now I could be wrong
That could have been all
That could’ve been all there’ll be
But if I don’t play along
It won’t ever be clear to me
No it won’t ever be clear to me

How would I know if this was it
How would I know for sure
How would I know if this was it
How would I know for sure
How would I know if this was it
How would I know for sure
What's been for sure
I know
I know
I know
I know
