Zippin' to the Zydeco Lyrics – Performed by Jim Cummings as Ray

Zippin' to the Zydeco Text

---

Spoken: Look here!

Every now and then when the moon don’t glow
All us lightning bugs, we put on a show!
Rear end flashin’ to the beat, we know
We’re zippin’ to the zydeco
Gotta sing along
Gonna clap your hands
When you hear the music of a Cajun band
Can’t help but love it and call me, yeah
When you’re zippin’ to the zydeco
Lord have mercy!
I can’t control my feet
So good it hurts me
It sounds so sweet!
So me and my relations flyin’ high and low
Every tremble makin’ where the music go
By the time we hit the corner
Everyone will know
Zippin’ to the zydeco

Spoken: Yeah, you’re right! Ooh, you’re lookin’ good, boo! Everybody, pick up your trumpet! If you ain’t got one… follow
along, ya’ll! Look here!

Lord have mercy!
I can’t control my feet
You know I like when the trumpet hurts me
It still me, yeah, you’re right!
Every now and then when the moon don’t glow
All us lightning bugs, we put on a show
Tushes are a-flashin’ to the beat, we know
We’re zippin’ to the zydeco
Zippin’ to the zydeco, uh-huh!
Zippin’ to the zydeco, oh yeah!
Come on!

Spoken: There ain’t nothing which I prefer! Awww, look at you!
