Top Banana Lyrics – Barney Kingswell & The Dandies

Top Banana Text

---

I'm the top banana in the greenhouse
I'm the cream on the apple pie
It's hard to be humble when you're genius
A glimpse of the stars in the sky

All my words are proclamations
Every thought I have seems to fly
I'm the top banana in the greenhouse
I'm a champagne kind of guy

Come tip your hat
I'm a hero in spats
I've the largest collection of silken cravats
You wanna say, "Ahoy!"
Swing by the Savoy

I'm the top banana in the greenhouse
I'm the cream on the apple pie
It's hard to be humble when you'rе genius
A glimpse of the stars in thе sky

I'm the pineapple in the pantry
I made Dame Baranova cry
I'm Seabiscuit at the racetrack
"Here he comes!" I hear the cry

I'm light on my feet
The toast of German Street
The prince of Piccadilly they all want to meet
The last word on the lips
The rustle at the Ritz

I'm the top banana in the greenhouse
I'm the cream on the apple pie
It's hard to be humble when you're genius
A glimpse of the stars in the sky

All my words are proclamations
Every thought I have seems to fly
I'm the top banana in the greenhouse
I'm a champagne kind of guy
I'm a champagne kind of guy
