When The Time Comes Lyrics – Chaka Khan

When The Time Comes Text

---

I'm a-ready when the time comes
I'm a-ready when the time comes
My opportunity to shine comes
I'm a-ready when the time comes

Look at me, I'm back again
Feeling the joy that a new day can bring
There's new music, there's new sounds
All the excitement got me spinning 'round

So I'm gonna seize the, seize the day
I ain't gonna let it get away
I ain't gonna let it pass me by
I've got the wings to fly
And I'm ready when the time comes

I'm a-ready when the time comes
I'm a-ready when the time comes (I'm ready)
My opportunity to shine comes
I'm a-ready when the time comes
We're on the edge of possibility
And we're gonna blaze a trail for the world to see
So when the time comes
The time comes, the time comes, I'm ready

Yeah

Oh, and each day I can't wait to see
Just what the world has in store for me, yeah
That's a joy you can't improve
When an emotion makes your body move, oh oh

Every little turn and twirl and twist
Baby, it is too hard to resist
And you hear the song that starts to play
Saying today, today

Ready when the time comes
I'm a-ready when the time comes (I'm ready)
My opportunity to shine comes
I'm a-ready when the time comes
We're on the edge of opportunity
And we're gonna blaze a trail for the world to see
So when the time comes
The time comes, the time comes, I'm ready

I'm ready

When the time comes for love
And the time comes for hope
When the time comes for friends
And the ones who helped me cope
(The times I was down and you lifted me up)
'Cause the time comes for joy
And the family I love, yeah

I'm ready when the time comes
I'm ready when the time comes
My opportunity to shine comes
Ready when the time comes
We're on the edge of opportunity
And we're gonna blaze a trail for the world to see
So when the time comes
The time comes, the time comes

When the time comes
I'm a-ready when the time comes
My opportunity to shine comes
I'm a-ready when the time comes
We're on the edge of possibility
And we're gonna blaze a trail for the world to see
So when the time comes
The time comes, the time comes

I'm ready
I'm ready
I'm ready
I'm ready, yeah, yeah
