Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer — Rosemary Clooney Lyrics
Soundtrack: Pottersville
Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer Song Lyrics
You know
There's Dasher
And Dancer
Prancer and Vixen
Comet and Cupid
Donner and Blitzen
But do you recall
The most famous
Reindeer of all?
Rudolph
The Red-Nosed Reindeer
Had a very shiny nose
And if you ever saw him
You would even say it glows
All of the other reindeer
Used to laugh
And call him names
They never let poor Rudolph
Join in any reindeer games
Then one foggy Christmas Eve
Santa came to say
"Rudolph with your nose so bright
Won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"
Then how the reindeer loved him
As they shouted out with glee
"Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
You'll go down in history"
Then one foggy Christmas Eve
Santa came to say
"Hey, Rudolph
with your nose so bright
Won't you guide
My sleigh tonight?"
Then how the reindeer loved him
As they shouted out with glee
"Hey
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
You'll go down in history"

It is not that hard to guess that this pop song is about Rudolph – one of the main reindeers who drive Santa’s sleigh. At the beginning of a song, there is the naming of all others reindeers in the flock and there Rudolph’s name comes. A singer tells Rudolph is the most popular one (who tells why?) and that he has a red nose, unlike the other reindeers (if you don’t know, they have black or brown-black noses). His nose is shiny and glows. Maybe, it serves his as the flashlight in the night, when they drive Santa on the starry sky. Rudolph was also an outcast because of his unusual appearance, as the singer tells.
