Sleepyhead Lyrics – Michael Silversher & Patty Silversher

Sleepyhead Text

---

[Squacky]

(Huh? Mom, Dad? Is anybody awake out there?)

[Sweetpea Sue]

I know you've got the squirmies
'Cause you're keepin' me awake
I have a big day tomorrow
It's a special playdate

Nighttime is for sleeping
And you need to go to sleep
Stay in bed, Squacky, not another peep

[Squacky]

(I gotta get up.)

Rat-a-tat-a-tat-a-tat
Rat-a-tat-a-tat-atouille
I gotta get up
And check my vegetable stewie
I'm feeling squiggly-wiggly
My tummy's grumbling, I'll get something to eat

[Apollo, Cowbella and Sweetpea Sue]

No, you've got to go

[Squacky]

(What?)

[Apollo, Cowbella and Sweetpea Sue]

Youv'e got to go back to bed

[Squacky]

(Oh, but I--)

[Apollo, Cowbella and Sweetpea Sue]

It's the middle of the night
Put on your sleepy head

[Squacky]

(Yeah, I know, but I--)

[Apollo, Cowbella and Sweetpea Sue]

It's the middle of the night
Put on your sleepy head

[Squacky]

(Aw... My eyes closed.. and I'll go right back to sleep.)

I think Mom and Dad
Are wondering where I am
I'd better go and show them
That I'm not in Japan

[Apollo, Cowbella and Sweetpea Sue]

No, you've got to go
You've got to go back to bed
It's the middle of the night

[Squacky]

(But maybe I could--)

[Apollo, Cowbella and Sweetpea Sue]

Put on your sleepy head
It's the middle of the night
Put on your sleepyhead

[Squacky]

(Okay. This time, I am not getting up. Nothing could make me...)

Bella, I'll come and tell ya' a little joke or two
And we'll read the book about a trout that played the kazoo

[Apollo, Cowbella and Sweetpea Sue]

No, you've got to go
You've got to back to bed
It's the middle of the night
Put on your sleepy head

[Squacky]

(No, but I--)

[Apollo, Cowbella and Sweetpea Sue]

It's the middle of the night
Put on your sleepy head

[Squacky]

(Just a minute--)

[Apollo]

We know you've got the squirmies
'Cause you're keepin' us awake

[Squacky]

(I know, I didn't mean to.)

[Cowbella]

Tomorrow is another day
I've got a cake to bake

[Squacky]

(A cake. That sounds good.)

[Sweetpea Sue]

Night time is for sleepin'
So please go back to bed

[Squacky]

(Yeah, but--)

[Apollo, Cowbella and Sweetpea Sue]

It's the middle of the night
Put on your sleepy head
It's the middle of the night
Put on your sleepy head

[Squacky]

Rat-a-tat-a-tat-a-tat
Rat-a-tat-a-tat-atouille
(Wiggly, squiggly.
Tummy's grumbly.
Where I am?
Not in Japan.
I'm a sleepy head.
I-- I-- snores)
