Annotations and Meaning: "Grab Them Legs" by The Boys From The Bottom is an edgy, explicit song that tends to reveal explicit words with themes on sexual relationships and bravado. The primary hook "Grab them legs and pull them back, wave back baby" keeps on looping through plainly raw, sexual meaning—showing the various ways they have a penchant for making uninhibited and unabashed statements of sexual intent. The lyrics pull no punches from the get-go, with lines such as "Danny D is back, here to smack things up" and "Slant hoes like Santa Claus, ho ho ho." These lines, however, are reflective of certain styles of hip-hop in terms of their shock value and overt sexual content. The song doesn't shy away from being graphic as it refers to sexual actions, showing some of the commands and descriptions through the lyrics. The song's tone is quite combative and assertive, telling lines like "Mr. Bozak's gonna make you sweat" or "I'm back again and after you, baby, I'ma slay your friend." This can be construed as a kind of attitude following hyper-masculinity, often shared in most the hip-hop songs where sexual dominance is portrayed as a way to exercise power and authority over women in most of the songs. Further, the thematic impact of the song elaborates on the idea of male conquest and dominion over females with a brash and unrelenting story. Such phrases as "give it on up, you got me broke with those legs up" and "don't tease me I don't play, you'll say 14? Okay." It very well can be tricky to use consent, and yet it can cause much trouble to be widely discussed regarding the matter of gender roles and sexual content in music. However, being included on the soundtrack to "Snack Shack," its context of use in this show could only be speculated to—most likely with a scene that contains tension, a power dynamic, or controversial character interactions.
